Newsletter - Oct. 3 The Lincoln Board of Education has been discussing new school attendance boundaries that could affect many schools within the school district. Although final action has not been taken on these boundary adjustments, it is important that parents be aware of the proposed changes. The LPS web site (www.lps.org) has maps of the school district with the proposed boundaries for public viewing. In addition, copies of the proposed boundary map are available for review in each elementary school office. Parents are welcome to visit and review the maps. The Clinton boundaries will remain the same under the new proposal.
Check out the Clinton website at http://clinton.lps.org/ for more pictures and information about Clinton School.
Schoolwide Rules and Procedures: At Clinton School we have the following rules: Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. We are teaching students procedures around the building. This week we are focusing on playground procedures. Students that are caught using these procedures may receive an “I Got Caught” sticker. If your child wears one home, ask them how they earned it.
Be Safe |
--Walk safely to front door --Stay in appropriate area --Be aware of activities/games around you --Use equipment properly |
Be Respectful |
--Keep hands and feet to self --Play fair—by the rules --Share-take turns --Include everyone --Be a friend |
Be Responsible |
-- Ask permission to re-enter the building --Line up quickly when whistle sounds --Take care of equipment and property --Alert adults if problems occur |
Stranger Danger: There have been several incidents in our neighborhood of men coming up to students on the weekend and asking them to help them find something. In all cases, the students knew to say no and run. Please continue to remind your child that they should not go with strangers when approached. We want to keep our kids safe.
Don’t ARRIVE until 7:45 a.m. Adults will be out to supervise at 7:45 a.m. for our students safety. Please do not bring your children until that time. If you need before school care, please contact Kristi Chambers at the Clinton Community Learning Center at 437-8835 or 770-8606.
