Principal’s Corner

We have started to have several students wear “Heelie” tennis shoes to school. These are the tennis shoes with wheels in the heel. These are not allowed at Clinton School because they are not safe and they damage our rubber floors. If students wear the wheels in their shoes, they will be taken out and kept in the office until a parent can pick them up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Parent Teacher Conferences: It’s time for Parent Teacher Conferences. This round of conferences will take place on Monday, October 15th and Wednesday, October 17th from 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Your child will be bringing home your scheduled conference. Please take time to keep the lines of communication open between home and school by attending. If you have questions or need to schedule a conference, call the school at 436-1132.

Check out the Clinton website at http://clinton.lps.org/ for more pictures and information about Clinton School.

Schoolwide Rules and Procedures: At Clinton School we have the following rules: Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. We are teaching students procedures around the building. This week we are focusing on hallway procedures. Students that are caught using these procedures may receive an “I Got Caught” sticker. If your child wears one home, ask them how they earned it.

Be Safe

--Stay to the right

--Hands and feet to self

--Face forward

--Walk at all times

Be Respectful

--Keep hands and feet to self

--Use quiet voices

--Use teacher hand signal: V for quiet and crossed finger for silent

Be Responsible

--Stay in line order

--Go directly to destination

--Use drinking fountain appropriately

Don’t ARRIVE until 7:45 a.m. Adults will be out to supervise at 7:45 a.m. for our students safety. Please do not bring your children until that time. If you need before school care, please contact Kristi Chambers at the Clinton Community Learning Center at 437-8835 or 770-8606.
