January 9, 2008 Happy New Year! May 2008 bring you all you need. We look forward to our work together to promote teaching and learning for ALL of our students. Thank you for sending us the best students in all LPS!!
Take some time to sit down and set goals with your child(ren) for the new year. They may want to be more fast and fluent readers. They might want to work to commit their math facts to memory. If we can be of any help with the goals, please feel free to contact us.
Lincoln Action Program “Free to Save” Program: You will find a brochure on this valuable program in your child’s Wednesday Folder today. This program will provide financial literacy training and support to create matched savings accounts for small business development, post-secondary education and homeownership. This is a great program, so check it out!!
Phone Contact Information: It is that time of year when many illnesses are going around. Please help us get a hold of you when your child is sick and in the Nurse’s Office needing to go home by updating your phone numbers when they change. This phone number will be used for Connect Ed and phone calls home if there is a school closure due to the weather.
Whenever your phone contacts change please give us a call at 436-1132 to update them. That includes home, work and emergency contacts. Thank you.
Clinton Website: Check out the Clinton website at http://clinton.lps.org/ for more pictures and information about Clinton School.
Schoolwide Rules and Procedures: At Clinton School we have the following rules: Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. We are teaching students procedures around the building. This week we are reviewing procedures and routines for all areas. Students that are caught using these procedures may receive an “I Got Caught” sticker. If your child wears one home, ask them how they earned it.
