Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year

July 2018

Dear Clinton Families,

Welcome to the 2018 – 2019 Clinton Elementary school year.  We are the Clinton Comets!

I am so honored to serve my third year as Principal of Clinton Elementary.  Prior to being Principal I was the Assistant Principal and long-time teacher at Clinton.  I love this school and the students and families we serve!  Our mission is: “High expectations for every child to succeed in our changing world.”  Our high-mission, dedicated staff members look forward to teaching your students each day.

At Clinton, we honor the diversity and strengths of each student.  Our vision is for every student to achieve at high levels to become productive, successful citizens.   Through LPS Student Supports model, our school is an orderly, productive learning environment.  Students follow the guidelines “Be safe, be respectful, be responsible” and “It’s never okay to be hurtful or disruptive.”  Our common area expectations and school-wide routines and procedures promote a positive, safe and orderly learning environment.

Clinton parents and families provide energetic and committed support.  The efforts of Clinton parents and families as well as our many community volunteers further enhance our school’s mission.  We greatly appreciate all of your support and partnership as we move toward the common goal of student success.

We look forward to starting the school year with our theme “Wild About Learning.”  We will continue to celebrate high achievement with our achievement wall in the front hallway and Clinton Comet Achiever signs.  We will also continue to recognize students going above and beyond with outstanding character and kindness.  Students will continue to earn “I Got Caught” tickets for positive behaviors.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call.  I look forward to meeting everyone at Open House on August 9 from 4:30 – 5:30.  See you then!
