Summer Newsletter 2021

July 2021

Dear Clinton Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 Clinton Elementary school year.  We are the Clinton Comets!  We look forward to having all of our Clinton scholars return to in-person learning this year.  Our students, staff and families really demonstrated dedication, trust and commitment as we completed an unprecedented school year.  This shows the strength our Clinton Comet community!  Your support means the world to us and positively enhances our outstanding learning environment.

I am honored to be serving my sixth year as Principal of Clinton Elementary.  Prior to being Principal, I was the Assistant Principal and long-time teacher at Clinton.  I just completed my 25th year at Clinton.  I love this school and the students and families we serve!  Our mission is: “High expectations for every child to succeed in our changing world.”  Our high-mission, dedicated staff members look forward to teaching your students each day.

At Clinton, we honor the diversity and strengths of each student.  Our vision is for every student to achieve at high levels to become productive, successful citizens.   Through LPS Multi-tiered Systems of Support for Behavior (MTSS-B), our school is an orderly, productive learning environment.  Students follow the guidelines “Be safe, be respectful, be responsible” and “It’s never okay to be hurtful or disruptive.”  Our common area expectations and school-wide routines and procedures promote a positive, safe and orderly learning environment.  Our teachers are dedicated to planning and delivering engaging instruction to our Clinton scholars each day.  They collaborate with each other and celebrate student growth and success.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call us at 402-436-1132.  I look forward to meeting everyone at Open House on August 12 from 3:30 – 5:30.  See you then!
